- 3 large firm but ripe bananas
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon neutral oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Pinch of fine sea salt
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, dusting of nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
- Whisk together the sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl.
- Slice the bananas very thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Toss the banana slices gently with lemon juice and brush lightly with oil.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar evenly over the banana slices.
- Arrange the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 8–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Remove the chips and cool completely on a wire rack.
Notes
For a healthier option, reduce the sugar to 1 tablespoon. For extra crispiness, cool the chips on a wire rack.
