Description
A creamy and comforting Chicken Garlic Parmesan Pasta, perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz of pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cloves of fresh garlic
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook your pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water for later.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the chicken breasts, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Lower the heat, add heavy cream to the skillet, scraping up any bits stuck to the bottom. Gradually whisk in the parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well coated.
- Plate your Chicken Garlic Parmesan Pasta and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk or Greek yogurt. Add seasonal vegetables for extra nutrition.
