  • 12 ounces of cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup of pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sliced pepperoni (or your favorite toppings like bell peppers or olives)
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by gathering all the ingredients. Chop the onions and mince the garlic.
  2. Boil a pot of salted water and cook the tortellini according to package instructions, generally about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, stirring for about 2-3 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  4. Lower the heat and add the cooked tortellini, pizza sauce, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine.
  5. Add half of the mozzarella cheese on top, then add your pepperoni or preferred toppings. Finish with the remaining mozzarella.
  6. Cover with a lid and let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
