- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until it’s browned and no longer pink, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Allow the spices to meld with the meat for a couple of minutes.
- Pour in the milk and bring to a simmer. Gradually stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, mixing until melted and creamy.
- Add the cooked macaroni to the skillet, stirring until every piece is coated in the cheese sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top, allowing it to melt slightly before serving.
- Ladle the mac into bowls and enjoy!
Notes
Use freshly grated cheese for better melting. You can customize with different pasta shapes or add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
