Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until it’s browned and no longer pink, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
  3. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Allow the spices to meld with the meat for a couple of minutes.
  4. Pour in the milk and bring to a simmer. Gradually stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, mixing until melted and creamy.
  5. Add the cooked macaroni to the skillet, stirring until every piece is coated in the cheese sauce.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top, allowing it to melt slightly before serving.
  7. Ladle the mac into bowls and enjoy!

Notes

Use freshly grated cheese for better melting. You can customize with different pasta shapes or add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
