Description

A flavorful Cajun-inspired pasta dish featuring succulent shrimp, vibrant veggies, and a creamy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper (red or yellow), diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp cajun seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add bell pepper and onion, and cook until softened for about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until golden and aromatic.
  4. Add shrimp, cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  5. Reduce heat, pour in the heavy cream, and stir well. Let it simmer for a minute to thicken the sauce.
  6. Toss the drained pasta into the skillet and mix until coated with sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce. To make it lighter, replace heavy cream with Greek yogurt.
