Description

A cozy, flavor-packed meal that combines familiar burger flavors in a deconstructed, bowl format for easy sharing and enjoyment.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (85/15), or ground turkey or plant-based crumbles
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, or soy sauce for gluten-free
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 cups mixed greens or lettuce, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or dairy-free alternative
  • Pickles, sliced (optional)
  • Classic condiments: ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, or your favorite burger sauce
  • Optional toppers: crumbled bacon, avocado slices, or a fried egg

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and break it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  2. Push the beef to one side and add the diced onion. Sauté until translucent, about 4 minutes, then stir everything together.
  3. Add minced garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute.
  4. Reduce heat to low and stir in half of the shredded cheese until melted into the meat.
  5. Build the bowls: divide chopped greens among four bowls, top with beef mixture, then scatter tomatoes, pickles, and remaining cheese.
  6. Add optional toppers and finish with dollops of condiments. Serve immediately.

Notes

For variations, try swapping toppings or adding extra vegetables for a healthier option. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
