- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 jar marinara sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, parsley, Parmesan cheese, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes using your hands.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs about the size of golf balls.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 6-8 minutes.
- Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs. Cover and let them simmer for 20 minutes on low heat.
- Serve the meatballs with some of the sauce spooned over them.
