Description
This Best Ever Baked Teriyaki Chicken recipe is an easy and comforting dish packed with flavor, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Add the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours in the refrigerator if possible).
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the marinated chicken in a baking dish, pouring any excess marinade over it.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the edges turn golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
Let the chicken rest after baking for juicier meat. You can also brush on extra teriyaki sauce during the last 5 minutes for a sticky finish.
