- 12 medium-sized Jalapenos
- 8 oz Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 12 slices Bacon
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wearing gloves, slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper, mixing until smooth.
- Generously fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.
- Wrap each stuffed jalapeno with a slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
- Place the wrapped jalapenos on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes or until crispy.
- Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider using low-fat cream cheese or Greek yogurt. They can also be frozen before baking.
