Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two standard loaf pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir gently until incorporated.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, stirring just until moistened.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar with the cinnamon.
  5. Pour half of the batter into each prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter in each pan. Use a knife to gently swirl the mixture into the batter.
  6. Pour the remaining batter on top, and repeat the cinnamon sugar layer and swirling process.
  7. Bake for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a rack to cool completely.

Notes

Try adding nuts, apples, or raisins for extra flavor. Drizzle with a simple glaze for added sweetness.
