- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk (or almond/oat milk)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two standard loaf pans.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir gently until incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, stirring just until moistened.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar with the cinnamon.
- Pour half of the batter into each prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter in each pan. Use a knife to gently swirl the mixture into the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter on top, and repeat the cinnamon sugar layer and swirling process.
- Bake for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a rack to cool completely.
Notes
Try adding nuts, apples, or raisins for extra flavor. Drizzle with a simple glaze for added sweetness.
