Description
A healthy, indulgent recipe for homemade apple chips made in an air fryer, infused with cinnamon and lemon juice.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1–2 teaspoons granulated sugar or coconut sugar (optional)
- Nonstick spray or a light brush of oil (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and core the apples. Slice thinly — about 2–3 millimeters.
- Toss the slices in a bowl with lemon juice, then sprinkle with cinnamon and optional sugar.
- Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C) for 3–4 minutes.
- Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 15 minutes, then flip each slice and continue for another 10–15 minutes.
- Remove the chips to a cooling rack to crisp further.
- Store cooled chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
Notes
For a savory twist, sprinkle with sea salt and smoked paprika. To make vegan and paleo-friendly, use coconut sugar or leave the sugar out entirely.
